Exploring the Green Side of Tourism: Top Eco-Destinations

There's something truly magical about setting foot in a new place, isn't there? As you know…I love travelling. I literally have no idea what I’d be doing if I wasn’t travelling. After covering quite a few places, I have realized the importance of sustainable travelling.

Recently, I came across some of the best sustainable travel destinations to make my next trip not just a vacation, but a step towards preserving our beautiful planet for generations to come.

Costa Rica

Costa Rica is a pioneer in ecotourism, known for its outstanding biodiversity and eco-tourism initiatives. The country is endowed with an amazing variety of natural landmarks. It offers a broad range of ecosystems that support an astounding array of plant and animal species, from lush rainforests and cloud forests to pristine beaches and volcanic landscapes.

New Zealand

New Zealand is known for its breathtaking landscapes. The country is well-known for its adventure tourism, which includes eco-friendly wildlife interactions like watching penguins or dolphins in their natural habitats, kayaking through beautiful waterways, and sustainable whale watching in Kaikoura. New Zealand has emerged as a leader in sustainable travelling.

Bhutan is a tiny Himalayan kingdom known for its pristine environment and sustainable development. Within the broader framework of Gross National Happiness, the country continues to protect the environment, honour the customs and culture of its people, and improve the general well-being of its population.

By choosing eco-friendly destinations and supporting sustainable tourism initiatives, travellers can contribute to the conservation of fragile ecosystems and the protection of endangered species.
